Southern Buttermilk Biscuits

I just love buttermilk biscuits! Don't you? This is a very easy recipe that is true to it's course. Just follow and you'll love the biscuits. And remember, if you want them a bit softer, make them touch in the baking process.

Ingredients

2 c All purpose flour
1/4 t Baking soda
1 T Baking powder
1 t Kosher Salt (unless you are using salted butter then don't add)
6 T Butter (if you butter is unsalted add the salt, if it is salted don't add the salt)
1 c Buttermilk

Directions

Dry ingredients into a bowl, cut in the butter. Once a cornmeal texture is there add the buttermilk. Handle gently folding inward about 5 times after mixed.

Put in oven at 450 degrees for about 10-12 minutes.

Also these can be cut into raw biscuits and frozen on parchment and then stored in the freezer for up to a month!
